Manufacturers use PFAS to make stain-resistant fabrics and carpets, water-repellent clothing, nonstick cookware, and hundreds of other common products. The compounds can seep into water from factories, landfills, and other sources. And because they don’t easily break down in the environment... they’re often called “forever chemicals”.
Lead contamination poses a serious threat to drinking water safety. Both U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) agree that Lead is harmful to health, especially for children. There is no known safe level of lead in a child’s blood. Taking action to reduce these exposures can improve outcomes...
1. Performance - How many categories of pollutants are reduced and to what level?
Cermax has been tested by a world renowned lab to continuously reduce over 220 pollutants in the range of 90-99%.for approximately 6 months. The Cermax filter has effectively reduced the level PFOS, PFOA and new emerging pollutants which has been a challenge for many purification products Check out the test report
2. Pathogens- Will it protect against them in all circumstances?
There may be times when the water supplied by facilities are not tested, failure of equipment may occur, alerts may be late in coming, and levels may vary. In well water, the pathogens need to be always filtered out. Cermax will filter out 99.9% of bacteria, and viruses.
3. Health- Will it retain essential minerals?
Cermax retains essential healthy minerals, and does not add anything to the water. Reverse osmosis will filter out essential minerals.
4. Maintenance- How often do I need change filters, and how do I know when to change?
Many filters have a short life and need frequent changes. Cermax will last for approx. 6 months. When the pressure drops because of an accumulation of particles on the filter, you can easily remove the filter, scrub it clean and replace it back into the housing. Good until you begin the see a change in the filter’s color from a blue hue to white.
5. Environment - What is the carbon footprint in production and renewable materials?
Cermax is produced with renewal energy sources, and the filter is biodegradable. Compare this to the plastics in bottled water.
6. Reliability- Is it tested by a recognized lab and to what standards?
Envirotek Inc- Gold Seal certified “Filters are independently tested and certified to the following: NSF/ANSI 42 Aesthetic Effects NSF/ANSI 53 Health Effects NSF - P231 Microbiological Water Purifiers” Compare to other filters that do not have these verified claims of performance.
The ceramic component is engineered to remove microorganisms and particles via a super fine filtration. With a network of 0.5 microns pores, it will remove turbidity, sediment, and microorganisms like pathogenic bacteria, cysts, protozoans, and some viruses.
Coldstream Max has additional components containing high quality activated carbon and ion exchange resin to maximize its absorbance characteristics and purify the water of hundreds of harmful pollutants including chlorine, chloramines, VOCs, chemicals, lead, heavy metals, pesticides, SVC’s, chemicals, inorganic non-metallics, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, PFOA, PFOS, emerging pollutants, and microplastics. It’s been independently tested to NSF standards 42, 53 and P231 and shown to maintain its efficacy of 90-99% (varies depending on pollutant) over an average of 6 months usage.
Coldstream Max is an ideal long- lasting filter to provide continuous healthy fresh clean water for drinking, cooking, washing produce; in all circumstances, environments, and emergencies. It will not remove essential healthy minerals and electrolytes.
Coldstream Max is environmentally friendly, made with natural ceramic materials, reusable, easily installed and maintenance free. It’s a complete 3 stage water filtration within a single cartridge, outperforming its competitors.
In conventional ceramic water filters, there is no indication when the point is reached, where the filter is no longer providing protection against micro-organisms and some chemicals
